Forgive me if some of these things are already in the game or if they are being implemented now. I didnt play Axis 2015, so I'm only listing things that would be great in a football game of the future.
1. Customization is everything in a sports game and it will add a huge amount of replay value. People love to create..... a. create a player (different height and weight) accessories especially mouthpiece. b. create a team c. create a playbook (formations and plays) Including special teams plays like reverses, walls, etc. d. create a league-Must be able to control everything like amount of teams, amount of games, amount of divisions, etc. e. create a coach
2. Franchise Mode-Even if its basic it needs to be there. All-pro football 2k8 could have been great even with a bad franchise mode.
3. Different catch animations is a plus. NFL Gameday 2004 is a game that i play a lot. This game is far from smooth, but they do somethings very well and one of them is catch animations.
4. Player interactions is crucial, especially (cornerback-receiver) & (offensive lineman-defensive lineman)
5. Instant Replay (the ability to challenge a call)
6. Crowd noise effect (NCAA Football 2006) since madden refuse to add this. I definitely have to make a vid about this.
7. Weather effects
8. Crazy endzone celebrations! (Thinking outside the box) Blitz the league 2 type of shit.
9. Gamebreaks (highlights from other games) during your game. Probably a franchise mode feature.
10. Halftime show
11. Off the field issues (NCAA Football 2006, 2007, etc. PS2) You never know when you have to suspend a player.
12. different camera angles for gameplay and instant replay.
13. Helmets should be able to come off with a big hit.
Thats all I can think of right now lol.

From what I have heard a Playbook editor might be coming this year. This would allow us to create different styles of play sort of like the old Tecmo Bowl days where every playbook was unique to that teams style of play.
Here are my biggest wants for now.
1.Full 55 man team rosters. 2.Full player names in menus not in game obviously. 3.Ability to send players in motion. 4.A way to block kicks and passes (put hands up move) 5.Logo mods 6.Player info including a place to put pictures. 7.More camera options. Ability to zoom in for sure. 8. Audibles on defense 9.Playbook editor 10.Extended audio mods (example a qb audible mod for each team) That way you could make a mod for each qb. 11.Texture mods 12.Improved animations for passing. Stepping up in the pocket

These are great ideas! Thanks for taking the time to share them! You guys are well aware that our goal is to make the game that you want. We'll do our best to get in what we can before launch!
As for the play editor, it is a possibility. The first thing that has to be done there is to come up with a way to dynamically draw the play graphics instead of using pre-made images. Without that, the play graphic for the custom plays wouldn't accurately reflect what it was. Dynamically drawing plays will also allow us to draw the play on the field prior to the snap (which is something people have requested). I have a guy working on this issue and will hopefully have some good news to report soon.
Keep the wish list coming!

I would like to see some gameplay factors in the 2016 version.
Having some weather impacts on gameplay would be good. For now you could start small. When it rains have the football be slippery so fumbling or bad passes would have a higher chance of happening. This could be dependent of course on player stats. As you get more animations down the road you could build on this and add slipping, falling etc.. Also if its cold some players might want to dress appropriately with thermals, gloves.
Crowd noise should also be a factor during gameplay. If you're the opposing team crowd noise should factor into gameplay. False starts, bad snaps, or altercations can have a higher chance of happening. Again this would be something dependent on player stats. Like awareness. For the home team a number of bad plays or losing should cause the crowd to start booing. The more they are booed the harder it is for the players to perform.
I mentioned altercations. I don't mean full blown fights (yet) but show frustration amongst team members. If possible add a finger point animation, some arguing on sidelines, "shaking my heads". Maybe down the road you could add more to that like pushing and shoving amongst rival teams.
I think these little add-ons would add a lot more depth to the game. I say little but it could be hard to add into this years version.

Franchise mode Features
Not sure how much depth will be within the franchise mode this year. But here's what I would like to see
Training Camp Draft Free Agents Team relocation Coach hiring (head coach, assistant, coordinators etc...) Practice Mode Preseason Stadium Ops (ticket and merchandise pricing) Salary Caps Player progression Awards like MVP,rookie of the year etc...
I'll add to this when I come up with more. Pretty sure some of this was already mentioned.

Before the game there should be like a intro comparing both teams. Like pre-game summary to talk whose injured, stats, key takeaways. Some of those categories would only cater to franchise mode. In franchise mode it should show playoff standings as well. Also a nice add-on for franchise mode would be a news feed scrolling along the bottom from time to time during the game. To see what's happening in other games and what happen during the week.

Adding team and individual records should be in there as well. Records like longest run or most passing yards all time etc...

Franchise mode Features Training Camp Player progression A training camp with specific drills and overall drills would be nice. I have many ideas how this game could have the most realistic draft of any football game. Many games fall short in this area. Having head coaches with some small influence on the game would be a good feature. Coordinators should come with their own playbooks for the offense and defense.

I know this thread is old, but I've been waiting for some 25 years or more for a game to have a competent play editor like drawing plays on a chalkboard and having the players execute it. Front Page Sports Football back in the day did it right, but that one could be somewhat overwhelming. The best one in my opinion was the "Chalkboard" feature on the original PC John Madden Football (1988 for the Apple II and DOS) game: www.myabandonware.com/game/john-madden-football-ol/play-olYou can run the game in your browser from the link above and go to the chalkboard feature to see what I'm talking about. It was simple, eloquent, unlimited possibilities (you could even create option plays or triple option), and was never duplicated with the same type of competency ever again in a Madden game (everything that came thereafter as far as a play editor was dumbed down). Other games thereafter made some decent play editors (Mike Ditka's Ultimate Football comes to mind, and of course all the iterations of Front Page Sports Football), but none in the simple spirit, with complexity, and ease of use as this one.
